As a traveler, you will have an impact on the environment and culture of the place you are visiting. Here are some rules of thumb to make this impact positive! |

GOLDEN RULES WHEN YOU TRAVEL: |

Learn about your destination before you get there. Read guidebooks, travel articles, histories, and/or novels by local authors and pay particular attention to customs such as greetings, appropriate dress, eating behaviors, etc. Being sensitive to these customs will increase local acceptance of you as a tourist and enrich your trip. |

Follow established guidelines. Ask your ecotour operator, guide and/or the local authorities what their guidelines are for limiting tourism's impact on the environment and local culture. Staying on trails, packing up your trash, and remaining set distances away from wildlife are a few ways to minimize your impact in sensitive areas.

Seek out and support locally owned businesses. Support local businesses during your ecotravels to ensure maximum community and conservation benefit from your tourist dollars.
Follow the Leave No Trace Principles, given below. |

- Plan ahead and prepare camp on durable surfaces.
- Dispose of waste properly.
- Leave what you find.
- Minimize campfire impacts.
- Respect wildlife.
- Be considerate of other visitors.

GUIDELINES TO OUR VALUABLE GUESTS |

Things to pack for your holiday to the wilds:
- Clothes in forest friendly colours like greens, browns and khakis.
- Flat, comfortable walking shoes.
- A pair of binoculars
- Sunglasses and a hat/ cap with a hood
- A torch would be handy
- Camera with telephoto lens if you want carry back memories
- Plenty of photo film and batteries
- Your essential medicines
- A light jacket/ warm clothes for winter.

In the wildlife sanctuary/ national park:
Please DO NOT
- littler
- tease animals
- talk loudly/ make noise
- smoke
- get off the vehicle unless asked
- wear strong perfumes
- pick up anything from the forest floor as souvenir
- touch insects/ bird nests
- wear bright coloured clothes
- play music - as a rule music is not allowed in any of our resorts
- go swimming as it is prohibited and risky
- disturb the tranquility of the place - others have come to enjoy the peace
- feed the monkeys or other animals in the camp
- tip individually - there is a common tip box

In the Camp/ Lodge:
Please DO

observe and obey safety rules during coracle/ boat rides, rafting etc.

park vehicles only in designated areas

While trekking:
Please
- wear comfortable walking shoes
- wear a hat/ cap
- do not talk loudly
- Always be alert
- Always have a guide along with you.

Other tips:
- Carry adequate cash as we are unable to accept credit cards.
- Hand over valuable items, passport, documents etc to the Manager for safekeeping.
